Posting in the postseason!

On Sunday we went to Ari's final regular season Giants game (also the last game before the postseason). It was fan appreciation day- and although we did not win a new car- we had a great time!
Ari will be rooting for his Giants tonight, and hopes the game is over in time for bedtime!
Final Giants tally for Ari- 1.5 spring training games, 3.5 regular season games- 4 wins with Ari in attendance.
Let's Go Giants!

New York, New York!

We finally took the boy to the biiiiig city. He enjoyed the plane (or rather all the nice young women he could flirt with)- and he napped enough that I watched a movie! Win for all.

He went to Zabar's! A life long dream for him.

He went to The Feast of San Gennaro! (Pretend you like to see our faces too)

He hung out with baby friends!
And cousins!
Also he took so many pictures he started smiling for the camera :)
 And he took a train!
Good times- if whirlwind times- had by all.

Heyyyyy...

So three weeks ago this dude was 7 months! He celebrated by lying down on the job and pulling very innocent faces
Besides the fact that he thinks sleep is for jerks and should only be done while snuggling (which us cute up to a point....) this kiddo is a ton of smiley, giggling, tickle-loving fun. With teeth! At 7 months he had the bottom two and was working on his top (adorably gappy) ones- he now has 6!

Ari strikes a pose

Sometimes a baby likes to strike a pose...
Or pretend he is being eaten by aliens
Or says.....who? Meeeeee? Nooooooo.

Sometimes....Ari feels pretty emo in the morning

What's that you say? More blogs?

ON IT.

Here is my baby looking perplexed and slightly hostile towards a banana. You are welcome internet.

It has come to my attention...

That my child continues to age. While I protest this progress, I will update you I suppose....

We will work backwards. Here he is yesterday rocking his Kaep jersey for his first 9ers game of the year. He tells me he does not recall being alive for their playoff loss last year as he was too busy being four days old and holding his pee for 12 hours at a time.

Quick updates

I took Ari to vote with me- long story short it was quite an adventure- but he got a lot of I voted stickers - particularly for someone who isn't 100%able to recognize his name....

Ari is enjoying his jumper, often he leans to one side and twirls, but he is starting to jump too! I like getting to be in my kitchen for more than 30 seconds at a time.

We took Ari to his second game at ATT park. It's amazing the difference a couple of months makes. Now he sits on our laps and looks around. We had a great time and although for Mike's benefit we rooted for a good game - they played the Mets, it was super fun that we won!

Long time no post!

I'm the worst. I thought I would be an awesome baby blogger, but it turns out I'm terrible! Days just sneak past filled with fun, playtime, snuggly naps and the occasional shenanigan. We spent this weekend in LA seeing friends, visiting babies and having a wonderful time. Oh! And while we were delayed for two hours for our 50 min flight home, I made Ari laugh! Like a real full hearty giggle. It was maybe the best sound I've ever heard. I now reward you with pictures!

Baby Hearts Baseball!

Well... At least he went to his first game. He got a first game at ATT park certificate, he wore his Giants jersey, one of his four Giants onesies and a Giants bib, I may have gone a smidge overboard. (But out of all that the only part I bought was the onesie!) And obligingly the Giants won! To be honest Ari was awake and watching the game for about 7 minutes, but I hear love grows through osmosis, liking listening to self help tapes (is that still a thing?) who cares, LET'S GO GIANTS!

Passover!

We spent 9 days down in Santa Cruz staying with my parents and the whole Tuttle Collins clan. We had so much fun hanging out having Ari meet his big cousin, aunt & uncle and of course get nibbled by Miriam (don't worry by the end of the week he was nibbling right back! Oh yeah, and our car got stolen for 6 days, that was weird... But it's back!

New Skillz

This baby is growing like gangbusters! His hair is back (much lighter), he no longer thinks that his bouncy chair was made to destroy him, and he can hang out on the activity mat for a while (and only get into a couple of arguments with the forest creatures). This past week he started flipping over from tummy to back, they say in another month or so he'll add back to front and we'll have barrel rolls! He also spends a good amount of tummy time pretending to swim, but here's hoping that crawling isn't a skill he gets super early. Without further ado... some of the many faces of our silly little bug.

First Vacay!

To celebrate Ari turning 8 weeks old we clearly needed to take him on a plane for his first vacation! Just kidding... but somehow we did think it would be no big deal to take him on our yearly Spring Training adventure, and heck, tack on three days in Sedona.

In reality, although taking an infant who is too little for sunscreen to Arizona is perhaps a misguided challenge, we both had a great time and proved to ourselves we could do it. Ari was awesome on the planes, did his best in the car and was generally tolerant of all the non-baby activities we made him participate in. Plus Ari got in his first Giants games, spent time with friends...and in the end had spent a tenth of his life in Arizona.
